Harris Project

Regenerative Textiles!

Aiming for 0% waste from thrift shop finds of six discarded Harris Tweed jackets – deconstructed, sorted, felted and embellished… the outcome  provided cloth for two ladies jackets, three hand bags, three wallets, nine 8×8 wall hangings, one large Teddy named Harry and three Victorian style Christmas stockings.. and still to produce, handmade paper from the wool lint produced with felting the tweed!

All parts of the jackets were salvaged… cloth, lining, buttons, labels all used in the creation of unique art pieces, stuffing and even the interfacing was used for compost… aiming for 0% waste!

… and more!
